Cluster Level Livelihoods Resource Center (CLRC) - A Community level capacity building initiative to improve the quality of life
Cluster Livelihood Resource Center (CLRC) has been initiated as a Western Orissa Rural Livelihood Project (WORLP) innovation to build and strengthen the primary stake holders capacities through anchoring organizations in four districts namely Bolangir, Kalahandi, Nuapada & Baragarh of Western Orissa.  Accordingly, CLRC is being setup at NIPDIT training Center Kanagan of Khaparakhol Block of Bolangir district to deliver a range of products on capacity building for the primary stake holders. The CLRC has the mandate of developing   and operationalizing various modules, manuals, training materials, references, teaching methodologies in different theme areas.

 
Vision
A self sustained resource center to act as catalyst for enabling village communities to improve their livelihood standards in the Western Orissa.
 
Mission
To facilitate the processes such as information dissemination and Capacity Building. To be an effective resource Center of committed and competent professionals.  
 
Goal
Rural People are able to access desired information in 14 blocks of Bolangir district. Create  Livelihood options for the 10000 rural poor. CLRC will have 5 competent and experience professionals from multi disciplinary backgrounds.
 
Objectives
Development and Management of  pool of resource  persons (PRP) along with the resource materials.
Coordination, organization and facilitation of capacity building events for the primary      stakeholders.

Periodical monitoring and evaluation of delivery of the capacity and training inputs.
 

 
Strategies
Building on the existing capacities, resources, experiences and creating /building new capacities in a systematic and organized manner.
Need based, focused and continuous capacity building inputs available at block and G.P. level for the primary stake holders.
Capacity building interventions beyond training.
Institutionalized  and decentralized capacity building delivery.
Work with different institutions and collaborative ventures to share resources in order to organise / facilitate capacity building events for rural communities.
 
What Does CLRC offer
The CLRC offers a series of quality  oriented capacity building programmes for the primary stakeholders on a range of topics in a modular approach. These training modules are developed by State Level Resource Organisations with the facilitation of MC of OWDM. Some of the topics are mentioned below:

CLRC expects and endeavours to excel its professional deliverables and to run its affairs through a cost centre approach.  CLRC provides its services on demand to WORLP and other agencies.
